Department of chemistry
Department of chemistry consists of three laboratories that are working in the mentioned fields in the following table:

The Department of Chemistry in line with the duties of the Faculty of Chemistry and Petrochemical Engineering works in the fields of laboratory, research and studies.
The tasks of this Department are as follows:
- Providing laboratory services to standard provincial offices, customs, office of tariff settlement and other applicants.
- Examine different types of organic and inorganic raw materials used in the chemical industry.
- Providing test services related to research projects in specialized chemical fields.
- Conducting research projects in the field of chemistry.
- Perform research activities to improve the quality of chemical products.
- Publication of research results and scientific activities through publications, journals, articles and so on.
- Compilation and participation in the development of national standards for raw materials and chemical products.
- Compilation and participation in the development of international standards.
- Managing the secretariat of relevant technical committees such as, TC 47 and TC 61/SC 2
- Providing scientific, technical and consultancy services to all applicants, including manufacturing units, partner laboratories, importers, exporters and so on.
- Providing training services to quality control staffs, experts from partner labs, provincial departments and students.
- Holding workshops.
- Holding conferences, specialized exhibitions and scientific specialized seminars.
- Collaborating in the evaluation of the National Iranian Standards Organization Partner Laboratories in accordance with ISIRI/ISO/IEC 17025 and the Implementation method No. ر /208/111
